Teaching

is delivered by a music specialist. The children are taught following the principles of the Kodaly method, in which they have the opportunity to learn the principles of rhythm and pitch through a variety of engaging activities.

Learning an instrument at school

Any pupils of the school, from year 2 upwards can sign up for a thirty-minute individual lesson on a chosen instrument. At the moment, we have teachers of violin, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, flute, guitar, voice, drums and piano. We can also arrange for other instrumental teachers as well, depending on demand. The school, together with the instrumental teacher, can provide help in finding a suitable instrument to practice on.
